Different styles of custom air force challenge coins

Different Styles of Air Force Coins

Air force coin designs often build on an aircraft profile, pilot wings, a squadron patch, a call sign or a rank symbol. Tail numbers, deployment dates and short unit mottos are frequently set around the rim so the coin records one specific mission.

MZIHO can produce classic round coins as well as custom shapes, cutouts and functional designs. Available details include 2D or 3D relief, recessed textures, antique or high-polish finishes, dual plating, colour enamel and decorative edges.

Custom Shapes and Cutouts

An air force coin does not have to be round. Arrowheads, shields, aircraft silhouettes and cut-through areas all work as coin shapes, and they make a squadron patch read instantly. Shaped coins use the same 20-piece minimum as round ones.

Specialty Finishes and Enamel Colour

Beyond antique gold, silver and copper, air force coins often use iridescent and dual-plated finishes to pick out wings and aircraft. Colour enamel keeps unit insignia, call signs and small lettering readable at coin size.

Frequently Asked Questions

Key details on artwork, coin options, packaging and ordering custom challenge coins from MZIHO.
What artwork file formats do you accept?

We accept AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, PNG, JPG and other common artwork files. Vector files are preferred because they provide cleaner lines and more accurate production results.

How do I submit artwork for both sides of a coin?

Upload your front-side artwork and use the optional back-side artwork upload for the reverse design. If the two sides use different details, labels or finishes, include them clearly in your order notes.

Will small text and fine details work?

Very small text and thin lines may need adjustment for clear production. We will identify any concerns during proofing and suggest practical changes before production begins.
