What artwork file formats do you accept?

We accept all standard formats, including JPG, PNG, PDF, AI and EPS. Vector artwork reproduces most sharply, but a clear sketch or photo is enough for us to start.

What resolution does my image need to be?

For photographs, send the highest resolution file you have. A small screenshot or a social media thumbnail will look soft once it is printed at pin size, so the original file is always better than a copy saved from a website.

Will I see the design before production?

Yes. Every order includes a free digital proof, normally ready 1-3 business days after we have your artwork. Nothing goes into production until you approve it.

How is a printed pin different from an enamel pin?

An enamel pin needs a thin metal wall around every colour, which limits how much detail fits. A printed pin has no walls: the artwork is printed onto the metal and covered with a clear epoxy dome, so photographs, gradients and fine text all reproduce. The surface is smooth and flat rather than raised.

How many colours can I use?

As many as your design needs. Colour count does not change the price, so a full-colour photograph costs the same as a one-colour logo at the same size and quantity.

Can I customise the back of the pins?

Yes. You can add a raised-metal back stamp, or laser engraving. Many customers use engraving for serialised runs such as 1/50 and 2/50. Both are added from the cart.

How are the pins packaged?

Every pin is individually wrapped in a protective sleeve to keep it safe in transit. This is included free with every order.

Are there other packaging options?

Yes. You can upgrade to a clear display box or a velvet presentation box from the cart, priced per pin.

Can I add custom backer cards?

Yes. Custom backer cards are printed with your own artwork and can be added from the cart. Tell us in the order notes if you would like the pins mounted on the cards before they ship.

Photodome pins reproduce a photograph, or any design too complex for enamel. Your artwork is printed in full colour onto a die-cut metal base, then sealed under a clear epoxy dome that magnifies the detail slightly and takes the scratches instead of the print. They are also sold as photo pins or custom printed pins.

Enamel has a hard limit: every colour needs a thin metal wall around it. Printing has none, so gradients, photographs, tiny text and any number of colours all come out. If you want the raised metal edges and the weight of a traditional badge instead, order custom soft enamel pins.

Why Choose Custom Printed Epoxy Dome Pins?

Some designs are too complicated to die-strike or enamel-fill. Photodome pins get around that: your artwork is printed straight onto the metal base, then sealed under a clear epoxy dome that lifts the detail slightly and takes the scratches instead of the print.
