Acrylic pins are printed in full colour and cut to the outline of your design, so the shape is the artwork rather than a circle or a shield with the artwork inside it. There is no metal, which is why they are the lightest and the least expensive pins we make — a 2″ acrylic pin costs less than a 0.75″ enamel one.
That makes them the practical choice for large runs, illustrated designs and anything where people will be handed a pin rather than awarded one: conventions, merch tables, fundraisers, club and fan designs. If you want the same full-colour artwork on a metal base, order printed epoxy dome pins; if you want metal borders you can feel, order soft enamel pins.

On an acrylic pin the outline is cut to your artwork, so a word, a character or a pet can become the shape of the pin itself instead of sitting inside a circle.
