Custom PVC Patches
A custom PVC patch is your design moulded in soft rubber rather than stitched in thread. Each colour is a separate piece of PVC laid into the mould, so the colour goes right through the material — there is no print on top to scratch off and no thread to fray. The result is a flexible, rubbery patch that shrugs off rain, sweat, mud and UV.
That is why PVC is the usual choice for tactical gear, outdoor equipment, work uniforms, backpacks and caps: the places where a stitched patch would eventually soak through, fade or wear at the edges.
- Minimum Order Quantity: 10 units per design.
- Sizes: 2" to 8", in thirteen steps. Patch size is the width plus the height divided by two, so a 4" × 3" patch is a 3.5" patch.
- Styles: standard PVC patch, PVC luggage tag or PVC coaster, chosen from the cart page.
- Shapes: sixteen options including circle, square, oval, shield, hexagon, rocker and banner — or a custom shape die cut to your artwork.
- Colours: 1–3 colours included. 4–6 colours +$0.34 each, 7–9 colours +$0.68 each, 10–12 colours +$1.58 each plus a $20.59 mould fee.
- Packaging: patches are supplied loose in a single bag, not individually wrapped.
Two choices decide how your patch is made. Both are made on the cart page and priced per patch:
- Standard 2D (included): every colour sits on one flat plane, separated by moulded borders. Clean, sharp and the right call for logos, text and flat artwork.
- 3D Style (+$0.40 each, $72.07 mould): the surface is sculpted so parts of the design rise above the rest, giving real depth and shadow. Best for characters, animals, mascots and anything that should look moulded rather than printed.
Then choose how it attaches:
- Sew-on (free): no backing applied. Stitch the patch on by hand or machine — the strongest, most permanent option.
- Heat seal / iron-on (+$0.13 each): a heat-activated film on the back. Best on cotton and denim; not suitable for nylon or waterproof fabric.
- 3M self-adhesive (+$0.21 each): peel-and-stick for smooth surfaces and temporary use. Not made for repeated washing.
- Double velcro (+$0.79 each): hook side on the patch, loop side supplied separately, so patches swap on and off a vest, bag or uniform. The standard for tactical gear and morale patches.

- File Type: we can use any format but prefer vector files when possible.
- Redrawing: we convert your file into a mould drawing at no cost, including designs that have to be simplified to mould cleanly.
- Fine Detail: PVC holds bold shapes and solid colours best. Very thin lines and small text are thickened slightly so they survive the mould — we show you exactly how on the proof.
- Proofs: free digital proofs with unlimited revisions before you approve production.
- Waterproof & Weather Resistant: designed to withstand rain, sweat, mud and UV without fading or peeling.
- Colour That Cannot Rub Off: each colour is moulded in as solid PVC, not printed on top.
- Flat 2D or Raised 3D: choose a clean flat finish, or sculpted depth for characters and mascots.
- Special Effects: glow in the dark (+25.67%), glitter (+4.89%), transparent colour (+3.67%) and UV printed detail ($58.82 mould fee).
